Brett Edward Garsed is an Australian musician and songwriter, best known for his work as a guitarist with John Farnham and T. J. Helmerich, as well as being a former member of the American band Nelson.
There is a lot of great information, well presented, in the book and accompanying files available for download. The price is incredible for what you get. I’m on my third Lerch book, and I signed up for True Fire primarily to access Tim’s lessons because his teaching style is a perfect fit for me. Highly recommended.

Awesome book for well-versed players who want to get better
Great content, well organized– a great mix of theory (only as it applies to the material at hand), lines and phrases to learn and use, and general tips and tricks. Plus, Tim has a such a great sensibility seated solidly in a love for music with technical and knowledge skills first rate. Could be frustrating if you’re not a solid intermediate player who knows the fretboard and the basic underlying concepts but if you’re that far along, this will take you farther.

Tim Lurch delivers…the rest is up to you.
Tim Lerch possesses the musical chops, the ‘head knowledge’ wisdom, and a relaxed and understandable teaching style. Melodic Blues Guitar Soloing is a book that gives the dedicated student, musical fodder for a very long time. As Tim says, this book is a compilation of his many years of playing and studying the guitar. As a former student of the late, great Ted Greene , Tim Lerch knows what he’s talking about. A big plus is that Tim doesn’t get heavy handed with academic rhetoric of music theory. The student isn’t bogged down with having to decipher what a lydian b2 sounds like compared to a mixo-locrian #5 against a dominant seventh add 9 chord. I like Tim’s approach because it’s based on what sounds good. This is a book that you can grow with as long as you’re willing to invest the time into it. A huge plus is that there are online and downloadable videos, mp3’s and even Guitar Pro files. At this price, the book and the online resources make this a win/win.
