Simon Pratt
Simon Pratt attended the Guitar Institute (now the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance) in London, where he excelled in his Diploma of Popular Music Performance, graduating in 2005. His passion for funk music flourished while studying privately with top funk player and Future Publishing editor Jason Sidwell.
Simon has further honed his skills through workshops with legendary guitarists such as Guthrie Govan, Jennifer Batten, Paul Gilbert, Mike Stern, Carl Verheyen, and Larry Carlton.
A prolific author, Simon has written multiple #1 best-selling books on Amazon, including The Guitar Finger Gym, Neo Soul Guitar, and Beyond Rhythm Guitar. These works have become essential resources for guitarists worldwide, combining practical exercises with a deep understanding of musical styles and techniques.
He has contributed to Total Guitar Magazine and worked with Sample Magic, creating high-quality guitar samples for producers globally.
Currently, Simon divides his time between composing for sync music libraries in England, France, and Czechia, and demoing guitars for Taylor Guitars, while continuing to inspire musicians through his writing and teaching.
Bence Bécsy
Hungarian-born Bence Bécsy is an internationally renowned session guitarist, educator, and touring musician.
Bécsy began playing guitar at the age of 13. After deciding in high school to pursue a career in music, he went on to study at three prestigious institutions: Dohnányi Ferenc Music School, where he spent two years studying classical guitar and classical music; Kőbányai Music School, where he focused on electric guitar and popular music; and the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, where he earned his bachelor’s degree specializing in jazz guitar.
Throughout his academic journey, Bécsy actively participated in various bands spanning a wide range of genres, from free jazz to blues. Considered a highly versatile musician, he thrives as a crossover artist. His primary interests in guitar playing lie in genres such as blues, neo-soul, fusion, and experimental music.
Currently based in Hungary, Bécsy primarily works as a session guitarist, lending his skills and musicality to a range of local bands.
