Scott Henderson

Scott Henderson is one of the premier composer-guitarists in modern jazz, blues, and fusion. Raised in South Florida, Scott moved to Los Angeles in 1980, where he quickly established himself as an elite sideman, touring and recording with Chick Corea's Elektric Band, Jean-Luc Ponty, and Joe Zawinul's Syndicate. In 1984, Scott formed Tribal Tech with bassist Gary Willis — a band widely regarded as one of the most important fusion acts of its era, releasing ten critically acclaimed albums. Named #1 Jazz Guitarist in both Guitar World and Guitar Player's reader polls, Scott also co-hosts the podcast GuitarWank with Bruce Forman and teaches at Musicians Institute. His solo blues work — particularly the albums Dog Party, Tore Down House, and Well to the Bone — showcases his mastery of the blues idiom. His most recent trio album, Karnevel!, was released in 2024.
